Notes from the Mechanical Curve

Get ready for a full blast gallop down keyboard lane! "Notes" is a foray into Paul M. Grove's world of synth, electric piano, and other keyboard instruments. From funky and fun to ethereal and weird, with stops at dark metaphor and polyrhythmic mayhem, this collection is sure to entertain and engage everyone.

Pioneering new paths in sonics and cadence, Paul often eschews common patterns and formats to found a new trajectory for the listener to explore with him. And yet this music is not at all taxing.

If you listen with intent, utilizing the left side of your brain, you will hear innovation and unanticipated adaptations of musical forms.

If you relax and just let the music engulf you, it won't rattle or vex you in any way.

Says Paul of his latest creation, "This collection was definitely with a purpose, a focus on keyboard instruments as the means of expression. Technology and inspiration drive each other, like the brain and the heart, thought and emotion. Sometimes a sound inspires an entire song. Other times a musical concept will be the catalyst for me to drive the technology to convey that original germ of an idea and bring it into fruition. Any way it happens, creation and originality, true expression of the Art of Music, is always my goal."

So please take a listen to "Notes from the Mechanical Curve" and see for yourself  what creation, originality, and expression fused and united together in a technological vessel sounds like, feels like, and what it says... to you...
